PLANS© has been in the marketplace since 1975.
PLANS© is a needs assessment questionnaire. PLANS© is available in two formats. The original format consists of a re-usable six page booklet and a separate answer sheet. The answer sheets are machine scored and the reports are returned to the school site or their use the educational planning, career development, career planning with students and parents, and with staff in curriculum assessment and planning. The second format is for use on a PC in a career center or guidance office.

PLANS is a low cost student and school assessment tool that can provide you with a fast, accurate and up-to-date analysis of each of your students. is an assessment and career planning tool for students and a needs assessment of courses and services for schools. is primarily a career guidance tool for counselors and site administrative personnel. data will provide you the information needed to apply for increase funds, including federal grants.

PLANS© begins with a student questionnaire.

PLANS© generates ten primary reports. Nine of those are for guidance personnel, administrators, and curriculum staff. After PLANS© is scored, a consistent career and post high school educational plan or an inconsistent career and post high school educational plan is generated for each student. The student reports are available in English or Spanish. There are over 40 reports that are spin-offs or sub-reports of the primary reports. Three copies of each report is the standard returned to the site when PLANS© is scored by ES&P. There are copies of the student's report for the counselor, the student's file, and the parents.

Two tables used in the assessment of the students can be developed for use by site, district, or area wide at the discretion of the school staff.
